Metaspins has expanded its crypto gaming platform with blockchain-based prediction markets
The operator said the launch marks another step in its strategy to build a more diverse blockchain-based entertainment platform

Crypto gaming platform Metaspins has expanded its offerings by launching blockchain-based prediction markets.

A Metaspins spokesperson noted: “Prediction markets have become an integral part of iGaming by combining information, community participation and market dynamics.”

“Our goal wasn't to simply introduce a new product but to create an intuitive, transparent experience that encourages engagement with real-time markets. This launch represents another milestone in our vision of building a more diverse ecosystem.”

The operator said its platform is designed to provide a user experience centred on simplicity and transparency. Each market clearly shows the available outcomes, pricing and settlement rules. The aim is to provide users with a full understanding of how the markets work.

In other recent news from the prediction markets space, Genius Sports launched Prediction.com, a new consumer platform for prediction markets. It lets users discover markets, compare equivalent event contracts across platforms and track how market probabilities change as events unfold.

As prediction markets continue to boom, so does their regulatory scrutiny. The US Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit handed yet another defeat to Kalshi this week, after ruling in favour of the Blue Lake Rancheria Tribe, determining that sports event contracts are class III gaming under the Indian Gaming Regulatory Act (IGRA) and not protected by the Unlawful Internet Gambling Enforcement Act of 2006 (UIGEA).

The Ninth Circuit Court has been a thorn in Kalshi’s growth recently, having also denied the operator’s attempt to file enforcement action against Nevada regulators during August.
