To help raise awareness for Prostate Cancer UK, Paddy Power has launched its largest dartboard giveaway to date, including the donation of 10,000 boards to those who contribute to the organisation on 2 December.

Beginning at 8am local time, any customer who makes an online donation to the Darts of Destiny giving page is eligible to receive a dartboard from all Paddy Power retail shops across the UK.

"We hope the dartboard giveaway really will put into perspective how important it is to get checked early - 10,000 men a year being diagnosed until it's too late for a cure is such a heart-wrenching statistic and we want to encourage as many men as possible to come forward and take the super-easy risk checker," Paddy Power said.

"As well as donations to the Darts of Destiny Just Giving page continuing to help fund life-saving research for Prostate Cancer UK, we also thought people might welcome the practice if they are the lucky person to be on stage throwing for £180k at this year's Paddy Power World Darts Championship!"

According to Paddy Power, over 10,000 men in the UK are diagnosed with prostate cancer before a cure can be utilised. As a result, the operator is requesting 180,000 men use Prostate Cancer UK's risk checking feature to ensure precautions are taken.

The operator recently introduced its Even Bigger 180 campaign, where Prostate Cancer UK receives a £1000 donation for every 180 scored by a random participant on 3 January.

There will also be a nine-dart bonus for every perfect leg thrown at the tournament, with £180,000 split evenly between the player who achieves it and Prostate Cancer UK.
