Thailand blocked access to 945,075 web addresses linked to online gambling during fiscal 2026. Authorities expanded efforts to identify and restrict illegal gambling content.
Deputy Government spokesperson Ploythalay Laksameesaengchan announced the figures on October 11, outlining enforcement carried out by the Ministry of Digital Economy and Society.
During the fiscal year, courts issued orders covering 835,207 online gambling web addresses. Of these, 749,546 were identified through the ministry's proactive monitoring, while another 85,661 were detected using information supplied by the Royal Thai Police.
The ministry has incorporated artificial intelligence tools into its monitoring process alongside police information to identify gambling websites.
Authorities also worked directly with digital platforms to block another 109,868 URLs. Combined with the links covered by court orders, this brought the total number of blocked gambling-related addresses to 945,075.
The Government has also encouraged members of the public to report suspected illegal gambling websites, with information from tip-offs used to support monitoring and enforcement.
Separately, Royal Thai Police figures showed a decline in reported online fraud cases during the week from September 27 to October 3.
The Anti-Cyber Scam Centre recorded 5,279 complaints through the ThaiPoliceOnline system during the period, with reported financial losses totaling THB252m (US$7.5m).
This represented 95 fewer complaints compared with the previous week, while reported losses decreased by more than THB1m.
Authorities said cooperation between government agencies, law enforcement, digital platforms and the public will remain part of efforts to identify and block online gambling websites more quickly.
