Instituto Conecta Cactus joined Instituto Cristiano Maia and Projeto Cabal to host a Children’s Day event for around 200 children in Nova Lima
Ana Gaming has confirmed layoffs following Brazil’s betting ban but has not disclosed the number of jobs affected

Instituto Conecta Cactus, an initiative established by iGaming solutions ecosystem Cactus Gaming and Ana Gaming, has partnered with local organizations to bring a Children’s Day celebration to approximately 200 children in Água Limpa, Nova Lima, Minas Gerais.

In a LinkedIn post, the institute said it joined Instituto Cristiano Maia and Projeto Cabal, led by Dona Rosa, for the event over the weekend. Its contribution included inflatable play equipment and snacks, helping provide a day of games and entertainment for children in the community.

The organization highlighted the importance of creating memorable experiences, particularly for children who may have fewer opportunities to access such activities. It also thanked the partner organizations, volunteers and other contributors who helped organise the celebration.

“Our contribution was to take inflatable toys and offer snacks to the children, helping to transform that space into an environment of lots of fun, games and, above all, smiles!” state the company.

“It was a day of great joy for the children, but also for all of us who had the opportunity to participate and follow everything closely.”

The initiative is part of the institute’s broader community work, which has also included an awareness campaign focused on older people. That campaign highlighted the importance of dignity, respect and care for Brazil’s ageing population.

The community activities come as companies connected to Brazil’s regulated betting industry face uncertainty following the Federal Government’s restrictions on betting operations. Ana Gaming has confirmed that it has made layoffs following the ban, although it has not disclosed how many positions were affected.

“And if there is something we take away from this experience, it is the happiness of seeing each child enjoying that moment,” concluded the organization.

A positive story in Brazil, amid all the discussion of online betting bans.
