Entain reported a 2% year-on-year increase in group net gaming revenue (NGR) for the third quarter of 2026, as growth in online gaming helped offset weaker sports results and challenges in Brazil.
Online NGR increased 3% on a constant currency basis, supported by an 8% rise in gaming NGR. Sports NGR declined 3%, with customer-friendly football results in August and September outweighing stronger margins recorded in July.
The UK and Ireland delivered one of the strongest performances, with overall NGR up 8%. Online NGR increased 14%, including gaming growth of 17% and sports growth of 3%, while online volumes rose 15%. Retail UK and Ireland NGR increased 3% on a like-for-like basis.
International NGR declined 4%, primarily reflecting continued pressure in Brazil. Brazil NGR fell 36% as Entain maintained disciplined marketing and player engagement before the immediate online gambling ban announced on 25 September. Italy NGR declined 6%, while New Zealand, Spain and Canada each recorded double-digit online growth.
Excluding Brazil, group online NGR increased 5% during the quarter. For the first nine months of 2026, online NGR excluding Brazil was up 8%.
Entain reiterated its FY2026 guidance, expecting online NGR growth of 4% to 6% at constant currency and underlying EBITDA, excluding parent fees, at the lower end of its £910m (US$1.2bn) to £960m range. Excluding Brazil, online NGR growth is expected at the top end of the 5% to 7% range.
The group also expects the previously announced sale of an initial 20% stake in Entain CEE to close during Q4 2026.
