BetMGM has extended its partnership with hockey player Connor McDavid for multiple years, with a continued focus on responsible gambling.

Under the agreement, McDavid will appear in responsible gambling content across broadcast, digital and social media platforms. The campaign will continue to promote BetMGM’s player protection tools, including deposit and stake limits, timeouts and self-exclusion.

A third responsible gambling advertisement featuring McDavid will begin airing soon.

The campaign, called Mullet Over and launched in December 2025, has contributed to a 27% year-over-year increase in the number of accounts with deposit limits, according to the company.

Adam Greenblatt, CEO of BetMGM, said: “Connor has been an exceptional partner in helping us show that responsible gambling can be both engaging and effective. The results of our campaign reflect how thoughtful messaging can drive meaningful action, with more players using tools like deposit limits to play within their comfort level.

“We’re proud to continue working with one of hockey’s most respected leaders to ensure that gaming is always fun and entertaining.”

McDavid said: “Being disciplined and making smart decisions are big parts of hockey. They’re important when it comes to sports betting, too. BetMGM gives players tools that help them stay in control of their play, because keeping betting fun starts with betting responsibly.”

Richard Taylor, Director of Responsible Gambling at BetMGM, said: “Our relationship with Connor has helped make responsible gambling more relevant to sports fans, and the increased adoption of our tools and resources shows the impact these efforts can have.”

McDavid joined BetMGM’s roster of ambassadors in March 2022 and has been featured in its responsible gambling initiatives since then.

BetMGM also offers GameSense, a responsible gambling program developed by the British Columbia Lottery Corporation and licensed to MGM Resorts, through its mobile and desktop platforms.

Earlier this week, Greenblatt spoke about prediction markets during the Q3 earnings call, where he played down the threat posed by them, despite acknowledging that the risk remained.

He described operators’ efforts to work around regulatory definitions as “cosmetics in the pursuit of survival” and said he hoped the US Supreme Court would rule in favor of state-level regulation.
