BMM Testlabs has been approved to provide online gaming testing and certification services in New Zealand
The approval comes under the country's new online casino regulatory framework overseen by the Department of Internal Affairs
BMM already provides testing and certification services to New Zealand's land-based gaming sector

BMM Testlabs has received approval to provide online gaming testing and certification services in New Zealand. The approval comes as the country prepares to introduce its regulated online casino market.

The approval was granted under New Zealand's new online casino regulatory framework, which is overseen by the Department of Internal Affairs (DIA).

BMM already provides testing and certification services to New Zealand's regulated land-based gaming industry. The latest approval will allow the company to extend those services to online casino operators and gaming suppliers entering the country's new regulated market.

Under its expanded role, BMM will independently test and certify gaming products to assess whether they comply with New Zealand's applicable technical and regulatory requirements.

The company said its testing services will cover areas intended to support game integrity, consumer protection and confidence in regulated online gaming products.

BMM President of Land-Based Gaming and Inspections Kirk White said the company would build on its existing relationships in New Zealand as the market expands into regulated online casino gaming.

The approval comes as New Zealand progresses with the introduction of its online casino licensing framework. The new system is intended to bring online casino operators serving the country within a formal regulatory structure, with technical compliance forming part of the requirements for the market.

BMM has operated in gaming testing and certification for 45 years, providing services across regulated gaming jurisdictions.

Its testing capabilities have also expanded through its combination with eCOGRA, bringing together the companies' respective experience in gaming testing, certification and regulatory compliance.

With the New Zealand approval, BMM will now be able to support both land-based and online gaming certification within the country as the new regulatory framework is implemented.
