Eva Slámová has been announced as Allwyn’s regional Chief People & Culture Officer for the Czech Republic, as she succeeds Kateřina Lukášová in the position.
Over the past 15 years, Slámová has amassed extensive human resources and culture experience across multiple industries, including television and finance, as she moves on from her most recent role of Country Head of HR in the Czech Republic for Barclays bank.
Now, she will hope to utilise her expertise as she steps into the gaming industry for the first time to oversee all people and culture operations for the Czech lottery operator. She will reportedly draw an enhanced focus on technology and digitisation, making use of existing company data and market experience when informing strategic direction for HR at the company.
Speaking on her appointment, Slámová stated: “Allwyn is a successful international group that many people associate primarily with lotteries and entertainment. But behind our products are cutting-edge technologies, data and a number of specialised teams.
I want HR to develop its role as a business partner and be able to fully utilise the benefits that being connected within an international group brings us. At the same time, it is important for me not to lose common sense and always look at whether the changes we make really help people.”
It has been a busy period for Allwyn, which also announced the appointment of a new Group CTO in Fredrik Ögren earlier this month. The group also recently unveiled a Q2 revenue figure of €1.25bn ($1.67bn), up 29% year-on-year, with company CEO Robert Chvátal speaking exclusively to Global Gaming Insider to praise Allwyn’s “strength in diversification.”
Elsewhere, Xenia Olajosova was also announced as Allwyn Group Media Director in August.
Allwyn, which owns a stake in Betano, has been one of the many operators that has expressed legal discontent with Brazil’s latest provisional motion to ban online gambling
