Penn Entertainment has completed a new corporate organizational restructure in hopes of aligning the operator's digital assets in Canada with its Hollywood iCasino product in the US to "further leverage its core retail casino business and overall omnichannel business model."

As part of the realignment, Penn Entertainment EVP of Operations Todd George and SVP & CIO Rich Primus will step down from their respective positions, with both roles set to be eliminated following the official announcement.

Penn Entertainment President and CEO Jay Snowden commented on the decision, having said, "As we turn the calendar to 2026, we are restructuring our corporate organization in order to achieve greater operational efficiencies, deepen customer engagement across channels, maximize free cash flow and drive shareholder value.

"Both Todd and Rich have made significant contributions to Penn's evolution over the past decade and helped build the strong foundation we have in place today. On behalf of the Company's Board of Directors, I want to express my appreciation for their dedication and efforts to Penn over the years and wish them well in their future endeavors."

George previously served as the VP and GM of Penn Entertainment properties in Indiana and Missouri prior to becoming VP of Regional Operations in the Midwest and eventually EVP of Operations.

Primus was Penn Entertainment's CIO for over 10 years, helping to develop and execute the operator's strategic technology plan and cybersecurity framework as well as launch its 3C's initiative.

According to Penn Entertainment, Rafael Verde, Aaron Rosenthal and Justin Carter, all of which currently hold SVP of Regional Operations positions with the operator, will continue overseeing the day-to-day business of their respective markets.

CTO and Head of Interactive Aaron LaBerge will assume responsibility for Penn Entertainment's enterprise IT functions to help align the operator's retail, digital, data, cloud and security platforms "under a single leadership structure."

Penn Entertainment hopes the restructuring will help reduce duplication, improve capital efficiency and accelerate its ability to deploy new products and omnichannel capabilities.

The operator has begun searching for a new Digital COO to oversee its Interactive segment and allow for LaBerge to spend more time working with Penn Entertainment's combined technology teams.

Penn Entertainment stated it will provide an update on opportunities to "strengthen and streamline" its operations when reporting Q4 2025 results in February, including annualized cost savings and free cash flow generalization.
