Wazdan has entered the Slovenian regulated online gambling market after launching its slot portfolio with Casinò Portorož, the country’s only licensed online casino operator, through the casino.si platform.
The launch follows Casinò Portorož receiving a government concession to offer online gaming, opening the Slovenian market to licensed digital casino activity for the first time. The development represents a significant regulatory milestone and provides a controlled framework for suppliers and operators entering the jurisdiction.
Under the agreement, Slovenian players gain access to an initial selection of 15 Wazdan titles.
These include established games such as 9 Coins, 9 Coins 1000, 9 Coins Grand Gold, 12 Coins Grand Gold, 20 Coins, Magic Spins, Hot Slot: 777 Crown and Power of Gods: Valhalla.
Casinò Portorož operates casino.si alongside its long-standing land-based presence in Slovenia. The operator said the online launch is designed to complement its retail business while maintaining regulatory and operational controls aligned with national requirements.
Casinò Portorož Head of Online Operations, Ksenija Bezek, said: “Launching our online casino Casino.si offering in Slovenia is a landmark moment for Casinò Portorož and partnering with Wazdan allows us to strengthen that debut with a portfolio of proven, high-quality games.”
Bezek added: “Wazdan’s titles have a strong track record in regulated markets and we are confident they will resonate well with Slovenian players.”
Wazdan Head of Sales and Business Development, Radka Bacheva, said: “Entering Slovenia with Casinò Portorož is an exciting step for Wazdan and aligns perfectly with our strategy of expanding across regulated European markets.”
Bacheva added: “As the country’s only licensed online casino, casino.si provides an ideal platform to introduce our games to a new audience.”
The Slovenian launch continues Wazdan’s broader expansion across regulated markets in Europe and North America, where the supplier has focused on partnerships with licensed operators and aggregation platforms.
In December 2025, Wazdan expanded its US footprint after launching its slot portfolio across Caesars Entertainment’s online casino platforms in West Virginia.
The rollout, delivered via Light & Wonder’s aggregation platform, added Wazdan content to Caesars Palace Online Casino, Horseshoe Online Casino and Caesars Sportsbook & Casino, supporting the supplier’s multi-state growth strategy in regulated US markets.
Wazdan is live in several regulated US jurisdictions, including Michigan, New Jersey and Pennsylvania
