Saratoga Casinos has made a $1m strategic investment into High Roller Technologies through a private placement of the operator’s common stock at a purchase price of $2.80 per share. 

“This strategic investment from Saratoga is a strong vote of confidence in our business model and growth strategy,” High Roller CEO Seth Young said. 

“This strategic alignment with Saratoga is an indication of our continued ambition to scale our platform, expand our market reach and execute on our near- and long-term initiatives.”

Saratoga Casinos currently operates gaming establishments in New York, Pennsylvania, Colorado and Mississippi, with the strategic investment into High Roller said to mark the entity’s “first step” into the online gaming sector. 

CEO Samuel Gerrity also spoke on the new investment, having said, “Over the past few years, we have been seeking the right opportunity to make our first investment in the online gaming sector. 

“High Roller’s growth trajectory is extremely compelling, and we are thrilled to support the company with this strategic investment.”

The offering and sale of High Roller common stock is projected to close on January 12, but is still subject to the satisfaction of regulatory closing conditions. 

High Roller also recently expanded its operations to Finland with the launch of Kassuuu on September 10, a new online casino brand tailored for the Finnish market.

Kassuuu incorporates several localization strategies, including a Finnish-language interface, culturally relevant humor and weekly promotional cycles led by their recurring characters such as Eetu, Sami, Rane and Otto.
