Two internal promotions as Booming Games expands its leadership team

Booming Games has made some additions to its C-Suite, offering promotions to both Ramona Petrina and Dan Paleu. 

The internal tinkering has seen the executive level at the games provider expand, with Petrina rising to the Chief of Staff position and Paleu becoming the COO. 

A social media post from the company reads: “Both promotions recognise their outstanding contributions, leadership and impact across the business. We’re excited to see them continue to support our growth and success in their new roles.” 

Booming Games is a Malta-based games provider for the iGaming industry founded in 2014, and these moves reflect the company’s ambitions to grow rapidly in the near future, with new market entries reportedly plotted for Switzerland, Bulgaria and Czechia during 2026. 

Paleu has not been at the company long, having only left IGT PlayDigital in June 2025, a company for which he had worked for nearly 17 years. 

In the short time he has been at Booming Games he has seemingly outgrown his position as Director of Technical Operations and he will begin his new senior role with immediate effect. 

The company statement describes Paleu as “a visionary with a strong track record in the industry.” 

Petrina will be stepping up to the newly created Chief of Staff position from her previous role as Director of HR – she has circa eight years of experience within iGaming and joined Booming Games from Pragmatic Play back in 2022. 

She has celebrated the show of trust from her employee, commenting: “The scale we’ve achieved is the result of clear direction and strong leadership, and I’m excited to help shape the next phase of the company’s growth as we continue to expand and evolve.” 

Max Niehusen is the Founder of Booming Games and added his own thoughts, saying: “With extensive experience in their fields, Dan and Ramona have already made a significant contribution to the business, providing invaluable expertise. Their promotions reflect our longstanding commitment to retain and nurture top talent, in order to better serve our rapidly expanding customer base.”
