The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has reported the state’s total casino activity for December 2025, as the three properties which report to the regulator combined to generate $105.1m, equating to an increase of 0.3%.
Despite the overall increase in retail casino revenue, activity from slot machines and table games fell 5.4% from the prior year period to $103.4m, while retail sports betting grew by over $1.4m for a December 2025 total of $1.7m.
MGM Grand Detroit led all properties in revenue generated for December 2025, reporting $50.7m but decreasing 1%. MotorCity Casino and Hollywood Casino at Greektown produced December 2025 revenues of $30m and $22.7m, respectively, falling 9.2% and 9.5% year-over-year.
For the fourth quarter of 2025, aggregate revenue between the three properties decreased 1.1%, with MGM Grand Detroit, MotorCity Casino and Hollywood Casino at Greektown recording totals of $154.1m, $91.9m and $69.8m, respectively.
MGM Grand Detroit's figure represents an increase of 2.8%, while the revenue reported by MotorCity Casino fell 6% and Hollywood Casino at Greektown witnessed a decrease of 2.7%.
The MGCB reported a monthly retail sports betting handle of just over $12.2m, as MotorCity Casino led all operators in revenue after generating $747,568 for December 2025. MGM Grand Detroit produced $372,771 of retail sports betting revenue for December 2025, while Hollywood Casino at Greektown added $599,224 during the period.
For full-year 2025, MGM Grand Detroit led market share with 48% of all revenue, while MotorCity Casino produced 30% and Hollywood Casino at Greektown the remaining 22%. Slots generated $1.02bn of revenue for FY2025, while table games and retail sports betting produced $247.8m and $14.2m, respectively.
