The Hong Kong Jockey Club has appointed Casper Stylsvig as Executive Director of Sports Business, effective January 15, 2026, bringing elite football club expertise to the organization's commercial operations.
Stylsvig will join the Board of Management and report directly to CEO Winfried Engelbrecht-Bresges. His remit encompasses the club's entire sports business portfolio, including horse racing, football, lottery operations and emerging sporting ventures, with a mandate to drive commercial growth across wagering and non-wagering revenue streams.
The newly created position involves a broad set of responsibilities. Stylsvig will oversee the commercialization of existing assets while developing new income sources, particularly through sponsorships and partnerships. He will lead strategic marketing initiatives targeting diverse customer segments and spearhead the multi-billion-dollar Racecourse Master Plan.
His portfolio includes managing the sports wagering business to channel demand toward community benefit while pursuing global expansion opportunities.
Most recently serving as CRO at Chelsea FC, Stylsvig restructured the club's commercial operations and implemented a comprehensive five-year strategic plan that delivered substantial revenue growth.
His career includes senior leadership positions at FC Barcelona, Manchester United, Fulham FC and AC Milan, where he secured major partnerships and led digital transformation initiatives that strengthened these organizations as global brands.
He said: "It's an incredible honour to join The Hong Kong Jockey Club at such an exciting time in its evolution. The Club stands among the world's most respected sports organisations, combining commercial excellence with a deep social purpose. This role represents a natural progressive next step in my career, bringing together best practices from global football to help shape the future of a truly unique, multi-sport business.
"I'm looking forward to working with Winfried and the team to drive innovation, expand our international footprint, and create world-class experiences for customers and fans in Hong Kong and beyond."
Stylsvig holds an MBA from Esade Business School in Barcelona and a bachelor's degree in Business Administration from the University of Hertfordshire
