GGBet has signed a title sponsorship agreement with the Basketball Federation of Ukraine (FBU), marking a new phase in the bookmaker’s domestic sports strategy and placing basketball at the centre of its next wave of partnerships.
Under the agreement, the two parties will collaborate on initiatives aimed at increasing the visibility of Ukrainian basketball, strengthening communication around national teams and leagues and developing new digital and media content for fans.
The partnership is positioned as a long-term effort to support the sport’s profile at both professional and grassroots levels.
Basketball remains one of Ukraine’s most widely followed sports and the federation said the partnership will help sustain interest and engagement at a time when maintaining sporting activity has become increasingly challenging.
GGBet CEO, Sergii Mishchenko, said: “For us, this partnership is about systematically supporting Ukrainian sports and expanding our audience.”
Mishchenko added: “It’s important that we make comprehensive efforts in this direction, ranging from integrated activities with the tournament to partnerships with national teams.”
The Basketball Federation of Ukraine said the agreement will support broader communication efforts and help maintain attention on the needs of players and teams.
Basketball Federation of Ukraine President, Mykhailo Brodsky, said: “Our objective is to develop basketball in Ukraine and make sure it remains visible to fans, media and partners.”
Brodsky added: “The kick-off of GGBet’s title partnership is an opportunity for us to launch powerful joint projects that will bring even more attention and energy to Ukrainian basketball.”
The deal follows a period of significant sports-related expansion for GGBet within Ukraine. During 2025, the brand entered into a three-year partnership with FC Dynamo Kyiv and also sponsored FC Polissya Zhytomyr.
Outside football, GGBet served as an official partner of the Usyk vs. Dubois II boxing event, extending its visibility beyond domestic competitions.
With basketball now added to its portfolio, the operator appears to be broadening its focus across multiple sporting verticals while emphasising content creation and fan interaction rather than purely branding-led exposure.
The partnership comes as Ukraine’s regulated gambling market continues to evolve, with operators increasingly aligning sponsorship activity with domestic sports development and regulatory expectations.
In December 2025, Ukraine’s gambling regulator PlayCity issued 10 new B2B licenses while revoking seven others as part of a revised regulatory approach designed to separate B2B and B2C activities and strengthen oversight across the sector.
Ukraine currently has 34 active gambling licences in its regulated market, alongside three licensed lottery operators
