World Poker Tour (WPT) and Creator Television have announced the launch of the inaugural Creator Poker Championship, a joint production bringing together popular online creators for a live poker tournament in Las Vegas.
The event, scheduled for 18 December, will be livestreamed on Creator Television and WPT's distribution channels, including Amazon Fire TV Channels, Plex, Sling Freestream, Xumo Play, YouTube and Twitch.
Participants will include well-known content creators King Bach, Wengie, Daphnique Springs, Soy and Jenny Lorenzo.
The event will also include branded integrations for advertisers targeting the crossover between digital entertainment and gaming audiences.
Joe Ochoa, Co-founder and GM of Creator Television, said: "Partnering with WPT on this incredible event is a dream collaboration. It brings an exciting and unique spin to an already successful global franchise. This event also marks Creator TV's entry into the sports and gaming genres, something we are excited to expand alongside creator partners. It's going to be a fun game."
In 2024, WPT partnered with PokerBaazi to expand in India, giving local players access to exclusive online WPT events and qualification routes to live tournaments worldwide.
Loc Sondheim, VP of WPT Studios, added: "We're thrilled to partner with Creator Television to bring this epic line-up of creators to the table. It's heavy competition, big personalities and can't-miss poker."
The Creator Poker Championship will serve as the launch event for Creator Television Sports, an expansion of the network's programming into gaming and live entertainment.
Creator Television, owned by Sabio Holdings, is positioned as a creator-led streaming network focused on bringing social media-driven storytelling to television audiences.
Now in its 23rd season, WPT has hosted tournaments in 48 countries since 2002
