Partnership builds on global technology rollouts across North America, Europe and Oceania

Scientific Games has completed a nationwide technology overhaul for Lotto New Zealand, upgrading its retail and digital systems across more than 1,100 outlets.

Delivered through the company's Momentum ecosystem, the new infrastructure integrates several core systems including the Symphony central gaming platform, WAVE Contour retail terminals and SG PAM player account management system.

The implementation also includes the SG Content Hub, providing Lotto New Zealand with access to games from SG Studios and partner suppliers.

The transition replaces the Lottery's legacy system following a two-year project involving multiple database migrations and third-party integrations.

Scientific Games worked with Lotto New Zealand and local retailers to coordinate the conversion, aiming to ensure minimal service disruption.

Lotto New Zealand CEO Jason Delamore said: "The upgrade had modernised both digital and retail platforms. It sets the stage for more transformation and exceptional player experiences for years to come."

The new technology suite in New Zealand also includes advanced logistics supported by Scientific Games' SciTrak and gemSuite systems for inventory and retailer management.

Datacom, the country's largest IT consultancy and a long-term Lotto New Zealand partner, deployed the new point-of-sale terminals and provides data centre hosting, maintenance and field services.

Patrick McHugh, CEO of Scientific Games, described the New Zealand project as a global effort supported by company teams across several continents. The upgrade follows recent international developments by the supplier, including its licensing in the UAE and continued expansion of its lottery technology network across 50 countries.

The completion positions Lotto New Zealand for future omnichannel development, aligning with global trends toward integrated, data-driven lottery operations.
