Argentina’s Instituto de Ayuda Financiera a la Acción Social (IAFAS) has retained its Level 3 Responsible Gaming certification from the World Lottery Association, reaffirming the highest standard under the WLA framework that it first achieved in December 2022.
The WLA formally notified IAFAS of the recertification earlier this week, citing the Entre Ríos lottery operator’s continued commitment to player protection, good governance and responsible gaming practices. Level 3 represents the most advanced tier within the WLA Responsible Gaming Framework.
In its notification, the WLA highlighted that maintaining Level 3 status requires sustained effort and continuous improvement beyond the initial certification, reflecting long-term integration of responsible gaming policies across an organization’s operations.
The Level 3 recertification process assesses operators’ ongoing compliance with responsible gaming standards, including prevention measures, risk management procedures and player protection mechanisms aimed at mitigating problem gambling.
IAFAS operates lottery games and gaming facilities across Argentina’s Entre Ríos province. Its responsible gaming program includes player education initiatives, self-exclusion tools and awareness campaigns designed to reduce gambling-related harm.
The WLA Responsible Gaming Framework is a globally recognized benchmark for lottery and gaming operators, with certification levels ranging from basic implementation to full organizational integration of responsible gaming principles.
Beyond certification, IAFAS has demonstrated its commitment to responsible gaming through concrete social actions, including a 267% increase in social contributions in 2025 and the donation of 16 defibrillators to Entre Ríos’ public health system
