The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has reported the iGaming and sports betting activity for both December 2025 and full-year 2025 (FY2025), as revenue during the year increased 29.5% to $3.8bn.
iGaming operations in the state accounted for $3.1bn of the total revenue reported for FY2025, while internet sports betting generated an additional $671.3m. Adjusted gross receipts (AGR) for FY2025 was $3.3bn, equating to a rise of 39.5% year-over-year to $3.3bn.
The annual internet sports betting handle in Michigan totaled $5.4bn for FY2025, representing an increase of nearly $100m from the reported handle for FY2024.
Operators in Michigan paid $624.6mm in taxes and payments to the state during FY2025, including $597.5m from iGaming activity and $27.1m from internet sports betting.
Tribal operators submitted $71.9m in payments to governing bodies during FY2025, while the three casinos which report sports betting activity to the regulator paid $161.4m in wagering taxes and municipal service fees.
For December 2025, iGaming and internet sports betting drove $399.8m of revenue, representing an increase of 51.3% from the prior year period. Total AGR for December 2025 was $357.9m, equating to growth of 62.7%.
The total internet sports betting handle in Michigan for December 2025 totaled $512.9m, having decreased 14.2% despite the overall growth in internet sports betting from December 2024.
Operators submitted $66.3m in taxes and payments to the state of Michigan for December 2025, while Tribal operators paid $8.5m to governing bodies during the monthly period.
Compared to December 2024, iGaming revenue increased by 35.1% to $296.7m, while internet sports betting revenue grew by nearly $61m year-over-year to just over $61.1m.
The MGCB reported the state’s total casino activity for December 2025 on January 13, as the three properties which report to the regulator combined to generate $105.1m, equating to an increase of 0.3%
