Zitro has contributed to the ICE Barcelona donor fund, an industry-led initiative designed to channel financial support toward social projects connected to responsible gaming, sustainability and broader social impact objectives.

The contribution was formally recognised during a fund handover ceremony held at ICE Barcelona 2026, which took place within the event’s Sustainable Gaming Zone.

The donor fund brings together contributions from multiple stakeholders across the gaming sector, with funds allocated to selected projects intended to deliver measurable societal benefits.

Zitro’s participation was acknowledged as part of ICE Barcelona’s wider efforts to embed environmental, social, and governance considerations into the event’s framework.

The organiser has positioned the donor fund as a mechanism to translate industry engagement into tangible outcomes beyond the exhibition floor.

Albert Zorrilla, Zitro’s General Director for Spain, said: “At Zitro, we believe that industry growth must go hand in hand with corporate social responsibility. Supporting initiatives like ICE Barcelona’s charitable fund allows us to actively contribute to projects that create a real positive impact and promote sustainable practices that benefit society as a whole.”

ICE Barcelona also highlighted the importance of supplier participation in sustaining the programme. The event stated that contributions from exhibitors and partners are central to the success of the donor fund and to maintaining long-term support for social initiatives linked to the gaming sector.

The Sustainable Gaming Zone at ICE Barcelona has been positioned as a focal point for discussions around responsible play, safer gambling frameworks, and sustainability practices.

Alongside educational content and stakeholder engagement, the donor fund forms part of ICE’s broader strategy to encourage responsible business conduct across the global gaming industry.

Zitro operates across multiple regulated markets and supplies land-based and digital gaming content to operators worldwide. The company has increasingly emphasised responsible gaming, innovation and sustainability as part of its positioning within European and international markets.

Earlier this month, Zitro strengthened its presence in Spain with the debut of its Fantasy cabinet at Casino Barcelona, operated by Casinos Grup Peralada. The installation marked the first deployment of the cabinet in the Spanish market and launched with two new titles, Brave Dragon and Lion Falls, following the product’s initial unveiling at G2E 2025.

Good to know

The Fantasy cabinet was first presented to the industry at G2E 2025 and has since been rolled out selectively across regulated casino markets
