Jet Roos-van Aerssen has announced she will be stepping down as Chief Financial & Risk Officer (CFRO) of the Nederlandse Loterij.
Aerssen has held the role for the past year and a half, with a career in finance spanning 30 years. She worked for General Electric Money for a notable portion of her career, beginning in 1995 on a management program and eventually becoming Acting CFO in 2007.
Other roles include Group Controller with the ANWB, a c-suite role with eBay Group and CFO of Media.Monkeys. She has also been a member of Topvrouwen.nl for the past decade. Prior to working with the Nederlandse Loterij, Aerssen was also CFO of Talpa Network.
On her exit, Nederlandse Loterij CEO Arjan Blok said: "In a year and a half, Jet has made a lot of impact on our organisation and on our contribution to sports and exercise. We have come to know her as a professional and appreciate her commitment to Nederlandse Loterij. Of course, we wish Jet every success in the future."
The move comes following a report from the Dutch regulator, Kansspelautoriteit, that illegal online gaming is on the rise in the Netherlands.
In terms of the amount of gaming money going towards legal providers, the amount has dipped from 51% to 49%, which may in part be due to newly implemented player protection regulations.
Nederlandse Loterij has seen other movement within its executive team as of late, having hired Claudia Sampaio and Yvonne de Liefde as Director Retail and Head of Sponsoring and Partnerships, respectively
