Morongo Casino Resort & Spa has named Joseph Busby as the property’s new CFO, where he will oversee financial strategy and guide budgeting and long-term planning development to support sustainable growth and operational efficiency.

“I look forward to working with the leadership team to support Morongo’s continued growth and financial strength, which has allowed the Tribe to invest in its people, its facilities and the guest experience.”
Busby carries over 20 years of experience helping guide financial strategy for Tribal organizations, having previously served as VP of Finance at Sycuan Casino Resort and Chief Compliance Officer for Foxwoods Resort Casino.
Morongo Casino Resort & Spa is currently owned and operated by the Morongo Band of Mission Indians and offers 150,000 sq ft of casino floor space to gaming patrons.
Tribal Chairman Charles Martin also spoke on Busby’s appointment, having said, “Morongo is thrilled to welcome Joseph, whose deep industry expertise, forward-thinking approach and proven leadership will further strengthen the executive team guiding our gaming operations.
“His strategic insights and commitment to excellence make him a tremendous asset to our organization.”
According to Morongo Casino Resort & Spa, Busby will also be relied upon to lead continued reinvestment in the property and help the operator build an enhanced guest experience for the southern California market.
Busby has additionally served as Director of Internal Audit at Valley Forge Casino Resort in Pennsylvania, as well as Director of Compliance for Osage Casinos in Oklahoma.
