Mindway AI has partnered with Crown Resorts to implement GameScanner in Crown's Australian venues. This deployment marks the first land-based application of Mindway's technology in Australia and is one of the largest global implementations of the system.
GameScanner is an AI solution developed with input from gambling harm experts, researchers and psychologists. The system is designed to analyse player behaviour to identify potential risks and provide data to support preventive measures and player protection.
The technology currently monitors over 12.8 million active players each month across 64 jurisdictions. Its introduction to Crown Resorts' operations adds a technological component to the company's existing harm minimisation framework.
Mindway AI's deployment of GameScanner in a land-based setting marks an expansion of its AI solutions beyond online platforms.
Dr Jamie Wiebe, Crown PlaySafe Group EGM, stated: "The introduction of this technology at Crown is yet another example of our commitment to continuous safety improvements and harm minimisation.
"This will greatly assist in identifying risks and preventing harms from occurring in the first place, which is a major focus for us at Crown."
Rasmus Kjaergaard, Mindway AI CEO, added: "We are thrilled to partner with Crown Resorts in this significant initiative. Our shared vision for player welfare is the foundation of this collaboration.
"Our move into land-based applications signifies a significant milestone for Mindway AI. With GameScanner, we are reinforcing our commitment to player welfare across all gaming platforms, creating an environment where care and safety are paramount."
Mindway AI has previously partnered with BetComply and Better Collective to develop and apply AI-driven safer gambling solutions and advance player protection initiatives
