The New York State Gaming Commission has reported the total casino and sports betting activity for January 2026, as retail properties in the Empire State generated $58.7m of gross gaming revenue (GGR), equating to growth of 8.7%. 

Revenue produced by New York slot machines totaled $42.8m during January 2026 and rose 14.6%, while table game revenue witnessed a 1.6% decrease from the prior year period to $14.6m. 

Del Lago Casino Resort reported the highest revenue increase of any New York casino for January 2026, growing 15.2% year-over-year for a total of $12.7m. Rivers Casino managed to generate the highest total revenue during January 2026, increasing 4.5% to $19m. 

Resorts World Catskills and Tioga Downs Casino reported January 2026 revenues of $17.9m and $9.1m, respectively, representing growth of 13.8% and 0.4%. Despite reporting the 0.4% increase in total casino revenue, Tioga Downs also witnessed a table game revenue decrease of 15% to $944,476. 

Retail sports wagering operations generated an additional $521,051 of revenue for January 2026, equating to a decrease of 45.5%, while total retail handle during the monthly period fell 33.5% to just over $4.6m. 

For New York’s online sports betting activity during January 2026, operator GGR increased 1.5% for a total of $250.6m, which represents the most revenue generated by online sportsbooks in the Empire State since October 2025. 

While New York’s online sports betting operations managed to increase revenue from the prior year period, the state’s total handle for January 2026 fell 1.5% to $2.4bn. FanDuel generated $113.7m of the state’s total GGR for January 2026, while DraftKings produced an additional $79.7m. 

BetMGM and Caesars Sportsbook reported January 2026 online sports betting GGRs of $13.2m and $11.5m, respectively, while Fanatics Sportsbook secured the third-highest online sports betting revenue in New York with just over $21.5m.
