Konami Gaming’s online slot products have made their debut in the recently re-regulated Italian iGaming market through a new partnership with the operator Betflag.
Betflag has become the first operator in the country to offer players online Konami slots including ‘All Aboard,’ ‘China Shores’ and ‘Lotus Land.’
Previously, games such as these have been available in land-based gambling venues across Italy, but this will bring them to a wider mobile audience.
Laviero Saganeiti is a casino business developer at Betflag and has heralded the deal, saying: “The depth, variety, and global prominence of the game content available with Konami Online Interactive will serve our online players for years to come.”
Betflag was founded in 2012 and has been a part of the Lottomatica since 2022 when it was acquired by for €310m ($370m).
Last summer, it became one of 46 operators to have its application for a remote gambling concession approved in Italy.
The total cost of acquiring one of these concessions from the Agenzia delle dogane e dei Monopoli (ADM) in the revamped Italian iGaming market is around €7m.
Konami Gaming’s European base was opened in neighbouring Slovenia last year, with the company only beginning to supply online casino products to Europe in April 2025, through a partnership with the Solverde Group in Portugal.
Eduardo Aching, VP of iGaming and International Gaming Operations at Konami Gaming, called this latest venture into Italy a milestone moment, adding: “Betflag players in Italy are among Europe’s first to experience online entertainment that we aim to deliver to many more regulated iGaming markets worldwide.”
Based on the company’s European activity last year and these comments, it seems as though we can expect more to come in the region.
