Sky River Casino plans to honor the Lunar New Year with expanded cultural programming, dining experiences and gaming promotions, including a $1m cash vault challenge and $130,000 weekly blackjack tournament.

The $1m cash vault challenge will run every Saturday through February 28 and features a potential $100,000 cash prize, while the blackjack tournament is set to be held on every Wednesday in February by Sky River Casino.

The property will also serve as the San Francisco Chinese New Year Parade’s Grandstand Sponsor for the fourth consecutive year, providing “optimal” vantage points as floats perform their main routines for judging and scoring.

What type of on-site celebrations will be held at Sky River Casino?
As part of the March 7 parade, Sky River Casino will introduce a custom designed float to symbolize “strength, vitality and forward momentum,” as well as sponsor a 500-drone aerial show to cap off the day’s events.

On-property celebrations of the Lunar New Year include themed decor, festive photo opportunities and cultural experiences, such as a live performance from Leung’s White Crane Dragon & Lion Dance Association.

Sky River Casino also announced the recipients of funding from its fourth annual Wreaths of Hope program on January 21, a community initiative that combines customer participation with charitable giving during the holiday season.

The 2025 edition of the program saw 10 nonprofit organizations from the Elk Grove and Sacramento County area invited to decorate wreaths that were displayed throughout the casino in December 2025.
