Maryland Lottery and Gaming has reported the state’s sports betting activity for February 2026, as operators currently authorized to conduct business in the state witnessed a 13.2% decrease in revenue to $36.7m.
Mobile sports wagering accounted for $36.2m of the state’s total sports betting revenue during February 2026, equating to a decrease of 13.5% year-over-year, while retail sports betting revenue increased 9.1% to $530,547.
The state’s total sports betting handle came out to $515.7m for the monthly period, representing growth of 8.4% despite the fall in operator revenue. Those required to report to Maryland Lottery and Gaming paid out nearly $464.6m in prizes during February 2026, equating to a 9.9% hold for operators.
Mobile sports wagering accounted for the vast majority of handle during February 2026, producing $506.7m for growth of 9.4%, while retail sports betting drove $9m of handle and decreased 39.6%.
Operators submitted just over $7.3m in sports wagering taxes for February 2026, as 15% of all taxable win for retail sports betting and 20% of online win is issued to the state’s Future, General and Blueprint Funds.
Maryland Lottery and Gaming also reported the state’s casino activity for February 2026 on March 6, as total revenue generated by Maryland’s six gaming establishments decreased 4.3% to $148.5m.
MGM National Harbor reported just over $64.8m of casino revenue for February 2026, the most of any Maryland casino property during the monthly period, but witnessed a decrease of 3.1%.
