The municipality of Federación, in Argentina’s Entre Ríos province, has launched maintenance works at the Bahía Casino waterfront complex, a venue connected to the city’s tourism infrastructure and recreational offering.
The initiative is being led by Mayor Ricardo Bravo and carried out by staff from the municipal Secretariat of Public Works and Services. According to local authorities, the project includes cleaning tasks, general repainting and minor structural repairs across different areas of the facility.
Work began on Tuesday morning and initially focused on the recreational sector of the complex. Municipal crews are expected to continue with maintenance interventions over the coming days, moving on to the deck area and other sections of the venue as part of the refurbishment program.
Officials described the initiative as a maintenance effort rather than a full-scale renovation, aimed at preserving the condition and usability of one of the city’s most visible waterfront spaces.
Federación is widely known as a thermal tourism destination in northeastern Argentina, with its hot springs complex drawing visitors from across the region. The Bahía Casino complex sits along the city’s lakeside promenade and functions as a public gathering point for residents and tourists, particularly during the summer season when visitor numbers typically peak.
Municipal authorities recently reported a positive balance for the 2026 summer tourism season, and the timing of the maintenance works suggests a strategy aimed at maintaining tourism infrastructure throughout the year rather than concentrating repairs ahead of the high season.
The Secretariat of Public Works and Services did not disclose the budget allocated for the intervention or provide an estimated timeline for the completion of the works.
Entre Ríos is one of Argentina’s provinces where casino operations are closely linked to tourism destinations, particularly in cities such as Federación and Victoria
