PokerStars has announced the renewal of its partnership with the Italian Series of Poker (ISOP) for the 2026 - 2027 season.

Founded in 2009, the series has developed into one of Italy’s established live poker tournament circuits.

Following a season that awarded nearly €2m in total prize money, the 2026–2027 schedule will feature five stages, including the 17th edition of the Italian Championships, set to take place at the end of May 2027.

PokerStars Customer Acquisition Director Germano Martucci stated: "This collaboration is an important part of our live poker strategy and allows us to continue offering players quality events that combine competition, sportsmanship, entertainment, and the best possible gaming experience, both online and live."

ISPO Founder Giangia Marelli added: “The renewal of the partnership with PokerStars is an important recognition of the work done together and allows us to look forward to the new season with enthusiasm.

“We are determined to expand the opportunities for all poker fans and to ensure that every ISOP event represents an exciting experience, contributing to the growth of live poker in Italy.”

The 2026–2027 ISOP season will begin from September 9th to 14th at the PokerStars Live Room in Campione d’Italia.

ISOP seasonal leaderboards will determine the players selected for the Italian Poker Team, which is expected to travel to Las Vegas in July 2027.

The renewed partnership between PokerStars and ISOP highlights the continued growth of Italy’s live poker scene.

Also in the poker sector last month, reports from Russia highlighted rapid growth in the country’s poker club market, with more than 300 venues now operating nationwide and annual turnover estimated to exceed RUB 1bn ($13m), according to the Association of Operators in the Entertainment Industry and Event Tourism (AIRIS).
