The Spanish regulator DGOJ has published its latest annual report. Online gambling in Spain continued to grow in 2025, with GGR reaching €1.7bn ($1.95bn), up 16.99% from the previous year.
Online casinos remained the main growth driver, generating €893m, or 52.51% of the total market and marking a 22.15% year-on-year increase.
Within this segment, slots led growth, accounting for 69.11% of casino GGR and rising 30.78% compared with 2024. Live roulette also saw growth, up 9.66%, while conventional roulette fell 13.24% and blackjack declined slightly by 1.21%.
Online sports betting contributed €698.13m, or 41.05% of total GGR, posting a 14.92% year-on-year increase. This growth was largely driven by conventional fixed-odds betting, up 25.82%.
Furthermore, online poker generated €95.48m, representing 5.61% of the market, a 4.60% year-on-year decline. The drop was mainly due to a 7.69% fall in tournament poker, which accounts for 71.19% of total poker GGR.

A smaller portion of the market was accounted for by online bingo, which produced €13.4m in GGR, just 0.82% of the total, down 6.69% year-on-year.
Marketing spend reflected the sector’s growth, reaching €664.40m in 2025, up 25.84% compared with 2024.
User activity also rose, with the total number of active players hitting 2.15 million, an 8.33% increase year-on-year. The monthly average of active accounts reached 1.72 million, up 20.39%, while the monthly average of new gambling accounts stood at 169,858, an 11.67% year-on-year increase.
