Sportradar has secured a multi-year extension of its agreement with the Deutscher Fussball-Bund (DFB), adding exclusive global betting data and audiovisual rights for the DFB-Pokal outside the DACH region.

The agreement, which begins with the 2026/27 season, will cover all 63 matches of the German FA Cup and marks the first direct rights deal between Sportradar and the DFB specifically for the competition. The rights were previously included in Sportradar’s acquisition of IMG Arena in 2025 and will now transition into a direct partnership with the German federation.

Alongside exclusive betting data and streaming rights, Sportradar will also receive non-exclusive global media data rights.

The agreement also introduces skeletal data tracking to the DFB-Pokal for the first time. The technology, already used across competitions such as UEFA tournaments, the Bundesliga and the NBA, is designed to enhance fan engagement and support advanced product development.

Moritz Gloeckler, EVP Rights and Strategic Projects at Sportradar, said: "Our extension of the agreement with DFB is a key addition to our already strong portfolio of global soccer rights. Through partnerships with FIFA, UEFA, AFC, Bundesliga, CONMEBOL and more, Sportradar is well-positioned to create the next generation of tech-driven products and services for clients to use to engage fans, reach new audiences and open fresh revenue opportunities."

Kay Dammholz, Director Media Rights at DFB GmbH & Co. KG, said: "Together with Sportradar, we are ensuring a professional and safe global distribution of our betting streaming rights outside the DACH region, while upholding the highest standards of integrity and unlocking additional commercial potential for our premium cup competition."

The agreement comes as global soccer betting gross gaming revenue is projected to grow by approximately 50% over the next four years.

Good to know

The DACH region (Germany, Austria and Switzerland) is typically excluded from global betting rights deals due to existing domestic licensing structures and media agreements
