Poland’s Ministry of Sport and Tourism has opened applications for the third edition of the Klub Pro programme, with more than PLN 104.6m ($28.82m) allocated to support youth-focused sports clubs across the country.
The programme is operated nationally by the Lotto Foundation, which has been confirmed as the official partner. The Lotto Foundation is a corporate foundation established in 2009 by Totalizator Sportowy.
The initiative will cover 902 clubs, supporting around 65,000 athletes aged between 12 and 23. More than 3,150 coaches and 270 support staff are expected to be involved as the programme continues to focus on developing young sporting talent.
Applications are open until 30 April, and eligible clubs can apply for funding through an online system.
Minister of Sport and Tourism Jakub Rutnicki stated: “The next edition of the Klub Pro programme is launching with even greater strength, energy and increased funding – over PLN 100m.
“This programme represents a real change, finally providing Polish clubs with meaningful funding for training and equipment purchases. We are launching this edition with a fantastic partner.”
Totalizator Sportowy CEO, Beata Stelmach, added: “The Klub Pro programme is an investment in the future of Polish sport. By supporting more than 900 clubs and 65,000 young athletes, we are once again investing in the future successes of Polish athletes, including on the international stage.
I am pleased that over the years we have become a trusted partner of the Ministry of Sport and Tourism, pursuing the same goal – strengthening the potential of domestic sport and promoting a healthy lifestyle.”
In February, Totalizator Sportowy and the Polish police signed a letter of intent to cooperate in combating illegal gambling. The collaboration aims to strengthen the investigative capabilities of both parties.
