The Michigan Gaming Control Board (MGCB) has reported the state’s iGaming and online sports betting activity for March 2026, as the two verticals combined to generate $322.1m of revenue, equating to growth of 26.8%. 

The $322.1m produced by iGaming operations represents a new monthly high in Michigan, as well as a 23.6% increase from the prior year period. Online sports betting operations in Michigan also increased year-over-year, rising 51.5% to approximately $50m. 

For adjusted gross receipts (AGR), iGaming activity in Michigan witnessed an increase of 25.6% to $309.1m, while online sports betting was responsible for $32.7m and increased 124%. Total handle for online sports betting activity reached $485.1m during March 2026, equating to an increase of 2.1%. 

Tribal operators submitted $8.2m in payments to governing bodies for March 2026, while the three Detroit casinos which report to the MGCB issued $16.1m in wagering taxes and municipal service fees. 

Operators currently licensed to conduct online business in Michigan submitted $66.4m in taxes and payments to the state during March 2026, including $64.1m for iGaming activity. 

On April 9, the MGCB reported the total casino revenue generated across Detroit for March 2026, as the three properties combined to total $112.3m, equating to a decrease of 4.3%. 

MGM Grand Detroit, despite leading all properties with $51.9m of table game and slot revenue during March 2026, witnessed a fall of 3.5% year-over-year.

MotorCity Casino and Hollywood Casino at Greektown generated slot machine and table games revenues of $34.9m and $24.7m for March 2026, respectively, representing decreases of 2.7% and 8.9%. 

The $111.5m of total slot machine and table game revenue generated by the three casinos equates to a 4.5% decrease from the prior year period.
