Norsk Tipping has agreed a four-year league partnership with Norsk Topphockey, thus becoming a league partner of the Elite Hockey League. It has also agreed to continue its cooperation with the Norwegian Ice Hockey Association for the same period.
Norsk Topphockey is a representative organisation comprising clubs in the Elite Hockey League, with the aim of strengthening cooperation between the clubs and the Norwegian Ice Hockey Association.
Norsk Topphockey Commercial Manager, Thomas Kristiansen, stated: “We are very proud that Norsk Tipping has become a league partner of the Elite Hockey League..
“With 600,000 spectators during the season and as Norway’s second largest spectator sport, the partnership provides a strong foundation for further development of Norwegian top-level ice hockey – both on and off the ice.”
Norsk Tipping Director of Brand and Marketing, Linda Eng Strand, added: “Ice hockey is important for Norsk Tipping, both as a sports betting product and as a partner that enables us to carry out our social mission.”
For Norsk Tipping, ice hockey is one of the most popular sports-betting products and Norway’s largest indoor sport.
These positive developments come after Norsk Tipping has faced more than NOK 100m ($10.71m) in fines over the past few years due to failures related to technology, player protection and anti-money laundering controls.
The most recent penalty saw the Norwegian Gambling Authority fine Norsk Tipping NOK 1m for deficiencies in its anti-money laundering systems. The sanction, announced last year, has now been formally confirmed.
In November 2025, Norsk Tipping accepted a NOK 25m fine from the Norwegian Lottery Authority after a technical error in an April 2025 lottery super draw led to 52 incorrect winners being announced.
