Thai authorities carried out coordinated raids on two suspected underground gambling venues in Bangkok on Saturday night, detaining 104 individuals and confiscating cash and gaming equipment, as reported by Bangkok Post.

One operation targeted a warehouse within a luxury development on Hathairat Road in Khlong Sam Wa district. Officials said the single-storey building had been illegally converted into a casino. A total of 63 people, including 33 men and 30 women, were taken into custody.

During the search, officers seized hi-lo dice tables, poker-style card tables, fish-shooting machines and more than THB 300,000 in cash.

The second raid took place at a former petrol station in Soi Seri Thai 9 in Bueng Kum district. Authorities arrested 41 gamblers, comprising 21 men and 20 women, and confiscated approximately THB 50,000 in cash along with hi-lo gambling equipment and related items.

Officials said the Hathairat Road premises had been rented in November last year from a property developer under the pretext of being used as a storage warehouse. Investigators believe the site was operating around the clock, with gamblers rotating in shifts due to space constraints. Daily cash circulation was estimated at no less than THB 1m.

Authorities noted that similar illegal gambling operations have been uncovered in multiple areas across Bangkok, with some reportedly employing guards to regulate entry.

Investigations remain ongoing as officials examine potential links to broader underground networks.
