Blueprint Gaming has signed a multi-month exclusivity agreement with BetMGM to launch its Game of Thrones slot title in Ontario, reflecting a “targeted approach to market entry” prior to wider North American expansion.
“Bringing Game of Thrones to life in a slot format is an exciting milestone for us, and one we’ve approached with a clear focus on authenticity and depth,” Blueprint Gaming Head of Product Charlie Jacka said.
“The combination of our Money Collect mechanics with such an iconic world allows us to deliver a layered experience that evolves as players progress. Partnering with BetMGM to launch first in Ontario is a fantastic opportunity to introduce this title to a highly engaged audience.”
The Game of Thrones slot title was originally developed by Blueprint Gaming in partnership with Warner Bros. Discovery Global Experiences, featuring the supplier’s money collect mechanic and branded modifiers to enhance prize collection.
BetMGM SVP of Gaming Oliver Bartlett also spoke on the new agreement, having said, “Game of Thrones is a cultural phenomenon.
“Players come to BetMGM Casino for the best in entertainment, and Blueprint Gaming delivers an immersive slot that goes beyond the spin of a reel – it puts them right in the heart of Westeros.”
Blueprint Gaming plans to expand the Game of Thrones slot title to targeted US states “later this summer,” hoping to ensure the product reaches a “highly engaged audience” during a “pivotal stage in its lifecycle.”
Inspired Entertainment also expanded upon its partnership with BetMGM to launch the supplier’s portfolio of virtual sports content – including V-Play Soccer, Basketball and NFL-themed Football – in New Jersey on April 8.
The content will officially go live on BetMGM and Borgata Online’s sports betting platforms, as the two parties previously collaborated to launch V-Play basketball, soccer and football in Ontario.
LeoVegas Group launched its proprietary sportsbook platform – Tiger – on BetMGM in Sweden on April 23, representing the next phase of the operator’s international sportsbook rollout
