Argentina's Casino de Mendoza has modified its Mystery Casino de Mendoza promotional program after internal technical reports cited a revenue plateau and declining indicators at its main gaming floor.
The IPJyC approved the changes through Resolution 343, published in the Mendoza Official Gazette. The request came from Binbaires S.A., which took over the casino's operations after absorbing Traylon S.A. through a corporate merger.
At the heart of the overhaul is a higher frequency of prize payouts, a strategy regulators believe will help attract more visitors, increase dwell time and strengthen overall activity on the gaming floor.
Internal reports from the regulator's Technical, Market, Management and Quality unit cited "a plateau and decline recorded in recent months in the room's revenue," alongside the need to maintain "dynamic and competitive commercial actions in the face of the current entertainment and gaming offering available in the market."
The department added that increasing prize frequency tends to produce "a better reception from the betting public, raising expectations of winning prizes and encouraging greater permanence of customers within the room."
The Commercial and Communications Department backed the change, noting it "represents a positive commercial strategy from the standpoint of betting public behavior," particularly around participation, dwell time and repeat visits.
The regulator's Treasury also weighed in, arguing the new parameters would allow "more significant prizes for the betting public, which will generate greater attendance."
Beyond the mechanics of the promotion, internal assessments acknowledged that the existing format had suffered from "natural wear", a deterioration in engagement when a promotion runs too long without structural changes. As a corrective measure, regulators recommended monthly monitoring of key performance indicators, including revenue, betting volume, average player dwell time and participation frequency.
In 2023, Casino de Mendoza partnered with IGT to deploy the company's Floor Manager cloud-based slot management technology, the first deployment of that system in Argentina, under Traylon S.A.'s tenure
