The Polish state-owned operator, Totalizator Sportowy, has signed a letter of intent with the Credit Information Bureau (BIK) to promote responsible gambling, financial security and ethical data management.
The collaboration will primarily focus on educating players about responsible gambling. The operator, along with BIK, will implement information campaigns and research projects to promote informed participation in gambling.
Another key component of the initiative is developing and sharing best practices in ethical data management to ensure transparency for customers.
The collaboration also emphasises raising awareness about data security and combating fraud.
Totalizator Sportowy CEO Beata Stelmach stated: ‘’We want to develop solutions that will support player protection, promote an ethical approach to the broadly defined gaming industry, and ensure a high standard of security in the digital world."
BIK Management Board President Dr Mariusz Cholewa added: " Cross-sector collaboration is crucial today, because only by combining the expertise and experience of various industries can we truly protect and influence society's financial awareness.
"The BIK Group and Totalizator Sportowy share a common educational mission—spanning responsible gaming and financing, data security, and fraud prevention. Working together, we combine knowledge, technology, and data analytics to more effectively protect consumers. "
BIK, Poland's only credit bureau, supports the security of financial institutions and their clients by providing a secure system for exchanging credit and business information, innovative anti-fraud solutions and credit history monitoring.
In February, Totalizator Sportowy and the Polish police signed a cooperation agreement to combat illegal gambling. The partnership aims to improve information sharing and analytical capabilities.
In March, Poland’s National Revenue Administration carried out a nationwide operation leading to 30 arrests and the seizure of 154 illegal gaming machines
