Operator bet365 will expand its mobile betting operations into Missouri's newly regulated online sports betting market once the Missouri Gaming Commission (MGC) officially debuts the offering on December 1.
As part of the launch, bet365 will also be naming the St. Louis Cardinals MLB franchise as its official mobile sports betting partner, and join sportsbooks such as DraftKings, FanDuel and Circa Sports in offering mobile betting to Missouri consumers.
Sports bettors in Missouri will be able to download the bet365 application on November 17 in order to create accounts and familiarize themselves with features and promotions prior to wagering.
On August 15, the MGC chose to award DraftKings and Circa Sports direct sports betting licenses, granting each operator the ability to offer sports wagering services within the state without a casino or professional sports team partner.
DraftKings, Circa Sports and FanDuel each filed applications for a direct sports betting license in Missouri, having provided reasoning and official statements as part of a Commission meeting held on August 13.
Within hours of being overlooked for the direct sports betting license, FanDuel gained access to Missouri's online sports betting market through a new partnership with the St. Louis City SC professional soccer team.
The direct licenses obtained by DraftKings and Circa Sports cost $500,000 per operator whereas indirect licenses, such as those formed by bet365, FanDuel and Fanatics Betting and Gaming, cost $250,000 per entity.
To celebrate its entry into Missouri's newly regulated online sports betting market, bet365 will also be offering consumers a state-exclusive promotion where users can bet $10 and receive $365 in return.
The operator stated it "champions" responsible gaming efforts such as early payout offers, spend limits and session duration warnings, all of which will be made available to Missouri consumers.
The Maryland Lottery and Gaming Control Agency approved bet365's application for an online sports wagering license during a regulatory hearing on August 28, marking the 15th US state in which the operator currently conducts business
