ATG has named Anna Romboli as its next CEO, with the executive due to assume the role in December 2026. Interim chief executive Jörgen Forsberg will remain in charge until the transition takes place.
Romboli brings more than two decades of experience in the gaming industry to ATG. She joins from Svenska Spel Tur, the lottery division of state-owned Svenska Spel, where she served as Business Area Manager since 2019, overseeing brands including Triss, Lotto and Keno.
Prior to that, she held leadership roles at slot developer NetEnt and design and innovation consultancy Veryday. She holds a degree in economics from the School of Business, Economics and Law at the University of Gothenburg and completed executive training in design management at Berghs School of Communication.
Romboli said: "I am very happy and proud to have been entrusted with the leadership of ATG. It is a company with a strong history, many committed employees and a particular significance for the Swedish equestrian industry. I look forward to continuing to develop the offering for our 1.4 million customers together and building on what makes ATG unique."
Peter Norman, Chairman, said: "Anna has extensive experience in the gaming industry and has for many years demonstrated that she can develop both businesses and people. She is a leader who combines business acumen with great commitment and customer focus. The board is very pleased that she has accepted the position of CEO of ATG."
Speaking with The Huddle, in her last job Romboli highlighted the ongoing challenges of the Swedish gaming market. These included the shift toward digital gaming, the growing use of artificial intelligence across gaming operations, and the need for stronger enforcement against unlicensed operators.
She has also underscored the role of product innovation and customer engagement in maintaining growth as Sweden's gaming market becomes increasingly competitive.
ATG was founded in 1974 and is owned by Svensk Travsport (91%) and Svensk Galopp (9%)
