Jamul Casino Resort in southern California has appointed Marcus Lucero as the property’s new VP of Casino Operations, where he is set to oversee all casino operations including slots, table games, poker and player development.
Lucero will primarily focus on driving revenue growth and enhancing guest experience, having most recently served as VP of Casino Operations at Morongo Casino Resort & Spa and in leadership positions with Soboba Casino Resort and Valley View Casino & Hotel.
“I’m honored to join the exceptional team at Jamul Casino Resort during such an exciting period of growth,” Lucero said.
“The property has established itself as one of the premier gaming destinations in southern California, and I look forward to working alongside the talented team to continue delivering outstanding experiences for our guests while supporting the long-term vision of the Tribe.”
Jamul Casino Resort stated Lucero’s hiring comes at a “pivotal” time for the property as it continues to build on recent expansion and new amenities.

MGM Grand Detroit has appointed Terry Briggs as its new VP of Slot Operations on May 14, set to oversee the property’s slot machine portfolio and evaluate opportunities to optimize its gaming floor
