The New Jersey Division of Gaming Enforcement (DGE) has reported the state’s total gaming activity for May 2026, as retail casinos, iGaming and sports wagering operations generated $627.1m of revenue, equating to an increase of 2%. 

iGaming barely managed to maintain its number one revenue position in New Jersey during May, having produced $276.3m for growth of 11.9%, while casino win rose by 0.1% for a total of $265.6m.

How have the state's verticals faired since May 2021?

Sports wagering operations failed to replicate the success driven by its gaming counterparts, however, as revenue from the vertical decreased 16.9% to $85.2m. Online sports betting totaled $83.7m of revenue for May and fell 14.6%, while retail revenue decreased 67.3% to nearly $1.5m. 

For casino win, slot machine activity accounted for just over $199.4m of the total revenue reported during May 2026 and increased 2.4%, while table game revenue decreased 6.1% to $66.2m. 

Other authorized games produced $273.8m of the total iGaming revenue reported by the New Jersey DGE, equating to growth of 12.1%, despite peer-to-peer revenue having fallen 6.4% to $2.5m for May.

Borgata Atlantic City, even while managing to generate the most casino win of any New Jersey commercial gaming property with $72.9m, reported a decrease of 0.3% from the prior year period.

Hard Rock was second with $49.9m but also witnessed a fall in revenue of 4%, while Ocean Casino’s $46.8m revenue represents an increase of 10.7%. Caesars Atlantic City grew casino win 2.9% to $20.4m, followed by Tropicana which reported a decrease of 6.7% to $18.4m. 

Harrah’s Atlantic City and Resorts generated respective May casino wins of $17.9m and $14.4m, equating to decreases of 10.1% and 1.4%. Golden Nugget reported $12.3m of casino win for an increase of 3.1%, while Bally’s grew revenue 5.8% to nearly $12.6m. 

FanDuel led all New Jersey iGaming operators with $64m of revenue for May and increased 17.6%, while DraftKings reported a decrease of 2.3% but still finished second with close to $47m. BetMGM and Borgata generated $34.6m and $22.4m, respectively, equating to increases of 6.4% and 8%. 

Caesars Palace Online Casino accounted for $19m of the state’s total iGaming revenue and grew 1.6%, as Hard Rock Bet reported an increase of 39.7% to $18.3m. BetFanatics was responsible for $13.5m of iGaming revenue in New Jersey, representing an increase of 115.7%.

How has the state's sprots betting volume altered since 2021?

New Jersey’s total sports wagering handle for May 2026 decreased 9.7% to $912.9m, primarily driven by online betting which accounted for more than $883.3m. FanDuel once again led all operators in online sportsbook revenue but reported a decrease of 22% to $34.5m. 

DraftKings reported $21.7m of online sportsbook revenue in New Jersey for a decrease of 23.4%, while BetFanatics raised mobile revenue 22.6% to $7.6m. BetMGM reported a significant increase in revenue of 320.4%, having generated just over $6.1m.
