Chair Brett Chenoweth said FY26 marked the execution phase of Tabcorp's transformation
Managing Director and CEO Gillon McLachlan outlined further plans for One Pool, retail and media
Tabcorp continues to cooperate with AUSTRAC while targeting the BetMakers deal for Q3 FY27

Tabcorp's leadership has outlined its priorities for FY27, with Chair Brett Chenoweth and Managing Director and CEO Gillon McLachlan using the company's AGM addresses to highlight progress on its wider transformation strategy.

Chenoweth described FY26 as a year in which several previously announced plans moved into execution, including a new retail commercial model, in-venue betting, an expanded media footprint and the launch of the National Tote.

The changes came alongside improved financial performance. Revenue reached AU$2.63bn (US$1.85bn), EBITDA before significant items increased 10.3% to AU$431.7m and NPAT before significant items rose 43.6% to AU$71.1m. Net debt was reduced to AU$533.1m.

McLachlan focused on the next stage of execution, including One Pool, which combines Australia's three Tote pools. Tabcorp said it is already delivering better odds than fixed products in around 60% of races, with further product, pricing and co-mingling developments planned.

The group's new retail model now covers more than 3,300 venues, representing around 97% of turnover from its previous contracted network. Tabcorp has also begun rolling out next-generation electronic betting terminals, with the aim of upgrading all venues within two years.

Another FY27 priority is the proposed acquisition of BetMakers Technology Group, which is targeted for completion in Q3 FY27 and is expected to accelerate Tabcorp's wagering technology transformation and expand its global B2B operations.

Both executives also addressed the ongoing AUSTRAC investigation. Tabcorp said it continues to cooperate with the regulator, while financial crime, risk and compliance improvements remain a priority.
