The Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) has reported the state’s total gaming activity for May 2026, as online and commercial verticals combined to generate a new monthly revenue record with $625.5m, equating to growth of 3.9%.
Retail slots generated the most revenue of any vertical during the monthly period, increasing 3.2% to nearly $232.1m. iGaming slots were a close second, managing to rise 14.3% for a total of $202.5m.

How has Pennsylvania gaming fared since May 2021?
Commercial table games in Pennsylvania accounted for $81.2m of the state’s total gaming revenue and increased 1.7%, while online table play witnessed a fall of 5.8% to $49.9m.
The state’s sports betting revenue for May 2026 decreased 11.4% year-over-year to $52.6m, as total wagering handle fell 9.1% to $595.6m. Online activity was the primary driver of Pennsylvania’s sports betting revenue, generating just over $50.8m as compared to $1.8m for land-based operations.
Video gaming terminals were responsible for $3.6m of revenue, equating to a decrease of 3.1%. iGaming poker and fantasy contests accounted for $2.5m and $1.1m of revenue, respectively, representing a decrease of 9.7%, but 3.3% growth for the latter.

May was able to edge out the state’s previous all-time monthly gaming revenue of $623.1m set during January 2025, while the resulting tax revenue for the new high came out to $269.9m.
Hollywood Casino at Penn National Racecourse led all operators with $115.5m of revenue and increased 7.8%, trailed by Valley Forge Casino Resort which reported a decrease of 1.2% but still managed to generate $104.6m.
Rivers Casino Philadelphia and Parx Casino were neck-in-neck after producing respective May revenues of $60.5m and $60.1m, equating to increases of 3.7% and 1.7%. Wind Creek Bethlehem reported $47.7m of monthly revenue, having grown 4.5% from the prior year period.
Total iGaming revenue in Pennsylvania reached $254.8m during May 2026, representing an increase of 9.4% and once again led by Hollywood Casino at Penn National Race Course after growing revenue 9.7% to $98.9m.

Valley Forge Casino Resort accounted for the most sports betting revenue of any Pennsylvania operator, generating close to $21.6m despite witnessing a fall of 24%. Hollywood Casino at the Meadows was the only fellow operator to cross the $1om revenue mark, producing $15.1m for a decrease of 3.8%.
DraftKings reported $855,246 of fantasy revenue in Pennsylvania for May, rising 6.8%, while FanDuel was second with $164,209 and increased 4.4%.
