Colombian fintech Dale! added deposits and withdrawals for licensed betting operators

Two developments this week in Peru and Colombia have highlighted the growing importance of technology, compliance and payments infrastructure across Latin America’s regulated betting sector.

In Peru, identity verification specialist Facephi reported that its partnership with The OxiaCore Project, operator of the GanaExpress.bet brand, helped reduce commission fraud by 80% during the first year of implementation.

According to the companies, the technology was deployed as Peru introduced new regulatory requirements mandating the unique identification of betting customers. The solution combines artificial intelligence and biometric verification tools designed to prevent multiaccounting, bonus abuse and identity fraud.

The fraud controls have supported the company’s expansion plans into Ecuador and Colombia, while helping it scale operations in Peru. The platform now works with more than 10,000 verified agents and expects to surpass one million authentication transactions by the end of the year.

Daniel García, CTO of The OxiaCore Project, said fraud prevention had become a key differentiator in an increasingly competitive market.

"Our fraud prevention system, which includes Facephi, is our competitive edge. It is what differentiates our platform when all the others seem the same."

Across the border, Colombia is also developing

Meanwhile, in Colombia, digital wallet provider Dale! announced a new partnership with payments network Puntored that allows customers to deposit and withdraw funds directly from licensed betting operators through its app.

The feature is available only to operators holding a valid licence from Coljuegos and meeting requirements related to identity verification, responsible gambling, anti-money laundering controls and tax compliance.

Licensed brands available through the service include BetPlay, Rushbet, Bwin, Yajuego and Codere. To promote adoption, Dale! also launched a cashback campaign offering users 20% back on eligible deposits.
