PG Soft has appointed Hugo Baungartner as General Manager for Latin America, with the slot developer citing plans to expand into regulated markets across the region while continuing to build its business in Brazil.

Baungartner announced the move on LinkedIn. He said: "I'll be building on that success in Brazil while helping to expand PG Soft's presence across regulated markets throughout the region.

“There is enormous potential ahead, and I look forward to working with our partners to take the business to the next level."

Baungartner brings almost 30 years of experience in the gambling industry to the role, spanning both land-based and online gaming. He most recently served as CBO at Grupo Esportes Gaming Brasil, where he discussed Brazil's regulated betting market with Global Gaming Insider.

Before that, he spent two years at Grupo Aposta Ganha, where he held a series of roles, including CCO, VP of Government Affairs, VP for Global Markets and Head of the company's Mexico operations.

Baungartner's longest tenure was at RCT Gaming, where he spent more than 28 years, including almost 13 years as COO overseeing markets across Mexico, Central America, North America and Asia. He remained on the company's board until April 2025.

He has also served on the Regulatory Advisory Board of Clarion Gaming since November 2025.

The appointment comes as PG Soft's flagship title Fortune Tiger continues to draw regulatory attention in Brazil, where the game has faced scrutiny over its design and appeal.

Baungartner's background in government affairs and regulatory compliance, together with his role on Clarion Gaming's Regulatory Advisory Board, may point to a greater focus on licensed markets as PG Soft expands its footprint across Latin America.

PG Soft did not disclose further details of Baungartner's remit or a start date for the role.

The Malta-based supplier operates across several regulated jurisdictions worldwide and has been increasing its marketing activity internationally in recent months.
