Digitain has appointed Terry Lee as Head of Asia Region, giving him responsibility for the sportsbook and platform supplier’s commercial expansion across regulated Asian markets.
Lee brings more than 15 years of gambling industry experience covering business development, partnerships and market entry. He joins Digitain after serving as Deputy Head of Sales at esports betting technology supplier Oddin.gg, having previously spent approximately 11 years at Sportradar.
His remit will include developing operator relationships and identifying opportunities suited to local regulatory and commercial requirements. The appointment gives Digitain a dedicated regional lead as it separates responsibility for its main international growth territories.
Asia presents a complex expansion environment for B2B suppliers. Online sports betting rules differ substantially across the region, with licensed markets operating alongside state monopolies, tightly restricted systems and jurisdictions where remote gambling remains prohibited.
Singapore, for example, restricts licensed remote sports betting to Singapore Pools, while Japan generally prohibits privately operated online betting outside limited authorised products.
The Philippines has also increased enforcement and regulatory scrutiny following its ban on offshore gaming operators.
These differences increase the importance of localisation, particularly across compliance, payments, language and operator risk controls. They also mean Digitain’s expansion is likely to progress market by market rather than through a single regional rollout.
Digitain’s product portfolio includes sportsbook technology, the Centrivo platform, retail betting systems, virtual sports and the Paydrom payment gateway.
The supplier has placed greater emphasis on regulated-market access during 2026, securing certification in Great Britain, authorisation in Ontario and licences in Denmark and Bulgaria.
Digitain Head of Asia Region, Terry Lee, said: “My focus will be on establishing Digitain as a major presence within key regulated markets, building long-term and strategic partnerships that truly add value, and identifying new opportunities that align with local market requirements.”
The appointment follows Digitain’s decision in June to name Dario Jurčić as CCO for Europe and Africa. The former Sportradar and NSoft executive was given responsibility for commercial execution and partner development across both regions.
Digitain’s website is available in Chinese alongside English, Russian and Spanish, reflecting its existing focus on multilingual product and commercial support
