Salt River Community Gaming Enterprises (SRCGE) has named Patricia Tate as the organization’s new President and CEO, marking the first-ever woman and enrolled Tribal member appointed to the titles.
"Today's announcement marks an important milestone for our gaming enterprise and our Community," Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community President Martin Harvier said.
“After 22 years of dedicated service, Ms. Tate brings a deep understanding of our organization, strong financial leadership and a long-term commitment to its success. The Community's selection reflects confidence in her experience and vision, and I look forward to working alongside her as we continue to strengthen our gaming enterprise for the benefit of our Community."
Tate originally joined SRCGE in 2004 as Controller and served with the Tribal organization as EVP and CFO for the past 15 years.
SRCGE oversees the day-to-day operations of both the Casino Arizona and Talking Stick Resort properties, which are currently owned by the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.
Speaking on her new appointment, Tate shared: "Serving the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community in this capacity is both a privilege and a profound responsibility.
"I am grateful for the trust placed in me and remain committed to leading with integrity, accountability and respect for our Community's values, culture and long-term vision."
As SRCGE President & CEO, Tate will oversee all aspects of Casino Arizona and Talking Stick Resort while focusing on sustainable growth, operational excellence, employee development and continued investment in initiatives that support the Tribe’s economic sovereignty.
Over in New York, Seneca Resorts & Casinos appointed Lon O’Donnell as its new SVP of Gaming Operations on July 8, where he began to develop and implement gaming strategy across the operator’s three commercial properties.
Prior to joining Seneca Resorts & Casinos, O’Donnell served as VP and GM of Bally’s Casino Black Hawk in Colorado and VP of Gaming Strategy for Grand Casino Mille Lacs in Minnesota.
