Ohio casino revenue grows 3.5% for June to $84.9m

The Ohio Casino Control Commission has unveiled the state’s total casino activity for June 2026, as the four commercial operators which report to the regulator combined to generate $84.9m of revenue, equating to growth of 3.5%. 

Hollywood Casino Columbus produced the most revenue of any gaming establishment in Ohio, reporting $26.2m and an increase of 11.1%. The operator’s Toledo property also managed to increase revenue year-over-year, rising 6.9% to $19.9m. 

Hard Rock Cincinnati and Jack Cleveland Casino reported June 2026 revenues of $19.9m and $19.2m, respectively, equating to decreases of 0.4% and 5.6%. The Hard Rock International property witnessed a table game revenue decrease of 4.9% to $6.8m, while Jack Cleveland Casino’s table game revenue fell 13.9% to $6.5m. 

The state’s total gaming revenue for June was primarily led by slot machine activity, which accounted for $62.8m during the monthly period and increased 4.1%, while table game revenue rose 1.7% to $22.1m.

Hollywood Columbus managed to increase slot machine revenue by 11.5% to $20.3m, as table game activity generated $5.9m and grew 9.7%. The Toledo location reported $17m of slot machine revenue and a rise of 4.4%, with table games accounting for $3m but increasing 23.7%. 

On June 30, Kalshi filed a lawsuit in state court against the Ohio Casino Control Commission, following the regulator’s proposal for a $5m fine to be issued against the operator for conducting business without an approved license since January 2025.

Within the lawsuit, Kalshi is seeking permanent injunctive relief which forbids the regulator from continuing with its administrative proceedings, as well as two separate declaratory judgements.

During March 2026, a federal judge in Ohio had previously ruled in favor of state regulators when Kalshi filed a lawsuit against the Ohio Casino Control Commission for attempting to prohibit its operations.
