PhilWeb Corporation reported second-quarter revenue of Php352.4m ($5.8m), up 96% year-on-year, as its expanding digital gaming operations became the largest contributor to group revenue.
Net income reached Php47m, compared with a Php16.3m net loss in Q2 2025, while EBITDA increased 886% to Php51.5m. The EBITDA margin reached 15%, compared with 10% during the first quarter.
Digital Gaming Solutions generated Php200.3m, representing 57% of total revenue and a 152% increase from Q1. The segment covers PhilWeb's interactive platform services and its newer game content distribution operation.
The increase follows a series of moves by the Philippine gaming supplier to build a broader B2B business around licensed domestic online operators.
PhilWeb entered game content distribution and aggregation earlier this year after receiving PAGCOR accreditation, initially working with PT Gaming and NUSTAR Online.
It has also agreed to provide platform technology, content integration and operational support for Newport World Resorts' regulated online gaming platform, adding to separate arrangements involving Hann Casino and FBM Philippines.
That expansion is taking place during a more restrictive period for Philippine online gaming. PAGCOR reported that national gaming GGR fell 15.9% year-on-year to Php87.6bn during Q1 2026, with weaker E-Games performance contributing to the decline following regulatory measures introduced during the second half of 2025.
The regulator has also tightened KYC requirements, responsible gaming measures and advertising controls for online operators.
Despite the Q1 contraction, electronic gaming accounted for approximately half of Philippine industry GGR during 2025, when total GGR reached Php396.14bn.
The continued scale of that regulated digital market provides the commercial backdrop for PhilWeb's shift toward platform and content services.
For the first half of 2026, PhilWeb generated Php585.4m in revenue, up 63% year-on-year, while net income reached Php61m compared with a Php41.8m loss in H1 2025.
The supplier is also piloting AI-based infrastructure for fraud detection, regulatory compliance and customer service. Its governance structure changed in July when Lance Y. Gokongwei joined the board following a Php2.03bn personal investment for a stake of up to 15%.
PhilWeb's digital distribution strategy expanded further in July through an exclusive Games Global agreement covering more than 3,000 titles from over 40 studios, with rollout expected during Q3 subject to regulatory approvals.
